The LA Times published a story on Feb 20, 2009 on methane release from the Arctic that includes a flash video.

My partner, Benjamin Jones, is a scientist with USGS working on this methane emissions study. He also is actively engaged in research to measure erosion along Alaska’s coastline.

THANK YOU, Kelly, for this important post. Many of us that are working to raise awareness of Global Climate Change have not figured this methane release into the picture. WOW! This is important work and we appreciate Ben’s efforts.
The coastal erosion statistics are alarming….a real wake-up call.
